By which I mean the actress is going to make the transition to directing with an adaptation of the Herman Koch novel The Dinner.
Indeed, Blanchett will put to good use all the tips she has picked up over her stellar career working with the likes of Spielberg, Allen, Fincher, Minghella, and Scorsese, to helm the story of two families that are forced to decide, over one dinner, how far they will go to protect their teenage sons.
Shades of Carnage, anyone?
