Taraji P. Henson clearly knows a good a thing when she sees it...and when she has it.

The Cookie Lyon of our lives is sticking close to Danny Strong, the co-creator of her star vehicle, TV’s Empire, now that she’s getting ready to star in the Strong-written big-screen offering The Best of Enemies.

The based-on-true-events project will tell the story of Ann Atwater’s working relationship with KKK leader C.P. Ellis. Henson will play the former, a prominent civil rights activist based in Durham, N.C.

The film is scheduled to go into production early next year.
