Telling Mary Shelley

Sansa Stark is turning to horror.

Games of Thrones star Sophie Turner has been tapped to play one of the titular roles in Mary Shelley’s Monster.

The project – which is being described as a gothic romance – will chronicle how Mary Shelley (née Wollstonecraft Godwin) wrote her most famous novel, Frankenstein, centering on the sacrifices the young author had to make to see her work published back in the 19th century and on her love affair with Percy Bysshe Shelley, who will be portrayed by Jeremy Irvine.

Taissa Farmiga is expected to join the cast, as Mary’s stepsister, Claire Clairmont.
