Another Marilyn

Two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain has Marilyn Monroe on her mind these days.

That’s because the actress is thisclose to playing the Hollywood icon in Blonde, a reimagining of Norma Jean Baker’s life based on the 2001 novel by Joyce Carol Oates.

Brad Pitt will produce the project, which will be directed by his Killing Them Softly helmer Andrew Dominik, who also adapted the book for the screen, btw, and calls the film, a really sprawling, emotional nightmare fairy tale-type movie.

I smell more Oscar bait for Chastain – but not for Naomi Watts, who was attached to Blonde like, four years ago.
