Broadway’s Big Catch

Another Hollywood movie is getting the stage treatment on Broadway.

Big Fish, which I remember enjoying back in 2003, is headed to the Great White Way, as a musical.

Alas, sans Ewan McGregor or Alison Lohman, but with some fine talent attached to the production, including John August, the movie’s screenwriter, who was up for more and wrote the show’s book.

Broadway vets Norbet Leo Butz and Kate Baldwin are set to star.

Five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman (Contact, The Producers) is directing.

And Andrew Lippa, a Grammy- and Tony-nominated lyricist, is in charge of the music and, well...the lyrics.

Duh.

Big Fish will premiere in Chicago first, on April 2, before arriving in New York in October.
