John Lennon’s is on an anti-gun violence crusade at the moment, and to make sure we pick up what she’s putting down, Ono tweeted an image of a pair of bloodied glasses purported to be her late husband’s, who, as the world knows, was shot outside his New York City apartment in 1980.
The simple, powerful, matter-of-faction accompanying the photo said, “Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by guns in the U.S.A. since John Lennon was shot and killed on December 8, 1980.”
