U.N.C.L.E. Man

Tom Cruise is so still happening.

His 2012 may have ended up being so-so – Rock of Ages was a dud, and people didn’t warm up to Jack Reacher in the United States as much as they did worldwide (which means the movie wasn’t all that successful in the eyes of some people because it’s all about America...)

But the Cruiseter still has it goin’ on.

Warner Bros. thinks so.

The studio is courting Cruise to star in its long-gestating adaptation of the 1960s NBC show The Man from U.N.C.L.E., about a pair of secret agents that work for the international United Network Command for Law and Enforcement of the title.

Guy Ritchie is attached to call the shots behind the camera.

Will he and Ritchie succeed where George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh did not?

Well.... Perhaps.

Up next for the guy, though is next month’s Oblivion.
