Enduring Man

Johnny Depp may be getting ready to ride with Armie Hammer in the upcoming The Lone Ranger (check out the trailer here), but then he plans on getting on a computer.

Make that in one.

Depp has committed to star in Transcendence, the directorial debut of Christopher Nolan’s longtime cinematographer, Oscar winner Wally Pfister. The project will tell the story of a scientist who has his brain uploaded into a computer. Paul Bettany is also on board.

And then on top of that, the chameleonic actor will play real-life former Boston mob boss-turned-FBI informant Whitey Bulger for director Barry Levinson in Black Mass.

And that’s how Depp do, bitches.
