Zac Efron is probably, maybe, going to pal around with The Greatest Showman on Earth.
See, the Neighbors 2 star is set to join Hugh Jackman, who will play P.T. Barnum in the long-gestating project (we’re going on six years of anticipation, already). No word on just who he might be playing at this point, but his potential involvement suggested the movie is getting ready to launch in a meaningful way.
Emmy winner Jenny Bicks (HBO’s Sex and the City) is scripting the musical as I type.
I wonder if Anne Hathaway will still be participatin’ in this one. At one point, she was meant to play Swedish Nightingale Jenny Lind opposite Jackman, who is producing the entire endeavor as well.
