Ann Morgan Guilbert, a.k.a. Grandma Yetta from TV’s The Nanny, has died. She was 87, and reportedly had been battling cancer for a while. She passed away on June 14.
The Independent Spirit Award winner (she was celebrated as part of the cast of Please Give, the 2010 indie) was the sort of character actress who would pop up here and there with frequency – the kind of face you knew you knew.
Like, you may remember her from her work on TV’s The Dick Van Dyke Show?
To me, though, she will always be Yetta. Sweet, funny Yetta.
