Asa the New Spider-Man?

Now that Spider-Man is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the studio is looking for a new PYT to take on the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Guess Andrew Garfield’s just too old now; the powers that be are planning on sending the character back to high school, after all.

And who will play the part? Asa Butterfield (another Brit) might.

The Ender’s Game and Hugo star reportedly is the frontrunner for the chance to join Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. & Co. in next year’s Captain America: Civil War, and if he is chosen, Butterfield also will headline his own franchise reboot of Spider-Man.

’Cause – no offense to Garfield – if at first you don’t succeed....
