Meet Maz Kanata

#MayTheFourthBeWithYou – especially now that we have a clue as to whom Lupita Nyong’o will be playing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The Academy Award winner will be playing Maz Kanata, a motion-capture-rendered new character. A pirate, Maz will have no known allegiances to either the Resistance (f.k.a. the Rebel Alliance) or the First Order (the new Empire).

It is now also confirmed that Adam Driver (While We’re Young) will be playing the blockbuster’s villain, Kylo Ren.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to open on Dec. 18.
