And Jennifer Aniston.
And David Oyelowo.
Gyllenhaal and Aniston were able to repeat their getting-nominated-for-a-SAG Award feat from yesterday – which, btw, was incredibly well-deserved, at least in his case for sure (he was terrific in Nightcrawler; I have yet to see Cake) – this morning when the 2015 Golden Globe Awards nominations were announced (in – urgh, is this really a new trend? – two batches), while David Oyelowo landed a Best Actor - Drama nod, for Selma, which is also up for Best Drama.
Annie is also in the mix now that its star, Quvenzhané Wallis was singled out for the Best Actress - Comedy or Musical race. Ditto Into the Woods and its Emily Blunt (their co-star, the Golden Globe golden lady herself, Meryl Streep, is nominated in the Supporting Role in a Motion Picture category).
On the TV front, while I am thrilled to see The Good Wife cracked the cable-and-streamer-loving Best Drama category (as did its lead, Juliana Margulies; Alan Cumming was nominated for his supporting work), I cannot help but wonder: WTF is Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany?
