Dr. Inferno

Felicity Jones is in theaters right now (dazzling audiences with her steely turn as the fairer half of the love affair at the heart of the Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything), but, soon, she might be up there living in a true Inferno.

Sorta.

See, the actress is talking to director Ron Howard about joining Tom Hanks in the adaptation of the Dan Brown novel by that title.

This will mark Hanks’ third time playing Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, btw, and if Jones signs on, she will become the third Langdon girl – let’s go with Langdon lady, why don’t we – to share the screen with him. FYI: It was Audrey Tautou and Ayelet Zurer who took on such roles in The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.

Jones would portray Sienna Brooks, a doctor at an Italian hospital who helps an amnesiac Langdon recover his memories just in time so he/they can stop a plague tied to Dante’s Inferno.

Alrighty then.
