Will Smith – the erstwhile (?) Mr. Blockbuster – reportedly has made it official: Word is he has told the powers that be that he has no interest in being a part of ID Forever Part 1, the first of two proposed sequels to his starmaker, Independence Day.
Producers are hoping to have the blockbusters – which may star Michael B. Jordan – roll out into theaters the weekend of July 4, 2016, a.k.a. the 20th anniversary of the original.
And while Smith has been in-out on the projects, it seems he is pretty much out now.
Perhaps he is, as I suspect/hope, keener on pulling a McConaughey these days….
