Maybe Tina and Amy were right when they said at the Golden Globes earlier this year that there seems to be no shortage of parts for Meryl Streeps over the age of 60.
I say that because next week, the August: Osage County Oscar nominee will start work on Suffragette. And then later in the week she’ll be attending the Academy Awards as the most-nominated actor ever.
But back to her new project du jour.
La Streep has signed on to join Carey Mulligan – as political activist Emmeline Pankhurst – in the based-on-a-real-life story of a woman (the Great Gatsby star) who becomes an instrumental figure to the early feminist movement.
Streep’s role is said to be small but, of course, totally key.
