Jeter announced today that he will be leaving the New York Yankees and retiring from playing America’s pastime after the current season is done.
“When you dream you eventually wake-up,” the shortstop wrote in his Facebook announcement. “I will remember it all. I have gotten the very most out of my life playing baseball, and I have absolutely no regrets.
“Thank you.”
