That was the rumor late last month, that the erstwhile Borat was set join Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska in the sequel to their 2010 hit Alice in Wonderland.
No word on what role the actor would play in the follow-up (other than he would portray the villain of the story), but this much is know: Tim Burton will not be directing the sequel, and the movie is set to open on May 27, 2016.
The Muppets’ James Bobin is taking the helm of the franchise, btw. In case you were wondering.
