Hunter Parrish may not be playing in The Hunger Games, but, by golly, the guy’s gonna have some fun.The Weeds star will take on the role of Jesus in the upcoming Broadway revival of Godspell, which begins previews on Oct. 13 for a Nov. 7 opening.
“I am honored to be a part of bringing this thrilling classic back,” the cutie-patootie said after his casting was announced. “I knew after meeting with the creative team that I was going to be a part of something really exciting.”
The hip retelling of the Book of Matthew from the New Testament will mark the actor’s return the Great White Way (he first hit the New York boards in Spring Awakening).
