This Is AFI and L.A.

I have a lot of catching up to do.

The American Film Institute has announced that 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, Captain Phillips, Fruitvale Station, Gravity, Her, Inside Llewyn Davis, Nebraska, Saving Mr. Banks, and The Wolf of Wall Street are the Movies of the Year.

I have only seen one of those titles! WTF is wrong with me?

Oh yeah, I have been living in Peru – films don’t always open right away down there.

Btw, Gravity and Her tied for Best Picture when the Los Angeles Film Critics voted for their best of the best last Sunday, so those two films really standing out this awards season.
