The Brit, feeling like his life has been “a bit of a roller coaster” lately, decided to post a video on his YouTube earlier today, to address some issues.
Chief among them, his newly admitted bisexuality, about which he had, so far, kept quite mum.
“I met someone [last spring] and they made me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great – and, well, that someone is a guy,” Daley said, effectively confirming what most of the world, including himself, already (thought they) knew. “It was always in the back of my head that something like that could happen, but it wasn’t until the spring of this year that it clicked.
“I still fancy girls, but right now I’m dating a guy, and it really does just feel right. Is it a big deal? I don’t think so.”
If it’s not a situation for you, kid, then, yeah, no else should or will have a problem with it.
Good for you, Tom Daley! Thanks for being honest, and for giving both girls and boys hope for a kiss under the mistletoe this Christmas.
