Year of the Falcon

Anthony Mackie is going to be It – at last! – quite soon.

The Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter player is talking to the powers that be about joining Chris Evans in the follow-up to Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is due out in April 2014.

Rumor has it Mackie would be playing Sam Wilson, a.k.a. the Falcon, one of the comic world’s first black superheroes whose powers come from a suit that allows him to fly and enhances his strength. Oh, and he can telepathically communicate with birds.

Hope this part helps the guy break through the way he deserves, already, and take flight in Hollywood.
