A Bombshell for a Guy...and Cleveland

Dayum, Family Guy – your casting director really wants a bonus or som’in’.

Hot on the heels of the comedy scoring Ryan Reynolds to come on board and voice God’s first attempt at an immaculate conception (not to mention Elizabeth Banks and Johnny Depp), now comes word that Sofia Vergara also will be lending her voice to a character on the show.

The Modern Family star is gonna voice a fantasy love interest for Peter Griffin.

And she, well...her voice also will pop up on another Fox property, The Cleveland Show, as a sexy aunt lady who tries to talk Cleveland into hosting a quince for Cleveland Jr.’s 15th birthday.

Way to keep those pipes busy, Sof!

Update 1: It’s a good thing Sofia Vergara is keeping occupied: Production on her day job, TV’s Modern Family, is imperiled now that she and her adult cast members have sued 20th Century Fox Television over the so-called illegality of their contracts, a.k.a. their well-earned desire to get more money beginning with the upcoming fourth season.

Update 2: Well, it looks like Vergara & Co. and the studio have reached a mutually satisfying resolution to their conflict.

Yay.
