The New Gamemaker

Now that Wes Bentley is out, the Hunger Games need a new gamemaker, so the powers that be thought of an Oscar winner to fill the void.

Capote star Philip Seymour Hoffman has been tapped to play Plutarch Heavensbee in the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, which will be directed by Francis Lawrence.

The actor joins a cast led by Jennifer Lawrence and is expected to join Katniss & Co. when production on the follow-up gets underway this fall.
