A Summer West Coast Fling

That Serena van der Woodsen can’t help herself, huh.

Last we saw Blake Lively’s character on The CW’s Gossip Girl she was out in L.A., catching the professional attention of director David O’Russell and getting set up for a potential opposites-attract type of romance with some dark-haired dude, but when the show returns in the fall she will have moved on to another hunk.

Stargate Universe actor Brian J. Smith has been tapped to play the lucky guy, a chef we will first meet on the fifth season premiere in September.

No word on how he’ll be sticking around, though, but I hope it’s for a bit.

I mean, look at those cheeks....
