The Kidman Comes Into the Picture

Who do you go to when Sofia Vergara drops out of your movie?

If you’re director Lee Daniels (Precious), you turn to...Nicole Kidman.

Daniels is reportedly courting the Oscar winner to replace the Emmy-nominated bombshell in The Paperboy, an ensemble led by Matthew McConaughey.

Vergara had to leave the project due to a scheduling conflict with her hit TV show, Modern Family, which is resuming production on its third season later this summer.

Tobey Maguire also had to bow out, I presume because he’ll start working on The Great Gatsby pretty soon.

McConaughey and Zac Efron seem to be on board still, though.
