Elizabeth Banks could be reuniting with her Seabiscuit director, Gary Ross, for The Hunger Games.
The actress and new mom is thisclose to nabbing a part in the trilogy starring Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
Banks would play Effie Trinket, the pink-haired, bright-eyed showbiz-type who becomes Katniss (Lawrence) and Peeta’s (Hutcherson) handler.
On a related note, Thresh and Rue will played by Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg, respectively.

Update: In more Hunger Games casting news, Marvel and Glimmer will be played by Jack Quaid (as in son of Dennis and Meg Ryan) and Leven Ramblin (TV’s Grey’s Anatomy), respectively.
