Before heads to Broadway, Katie Holmes is headed to Eli Stone’s San Francisco.The actress – she’s an actress, remember? – has signed on to appear in one episode of Season 2 of the critically acclaimed ABC drama.
The gig marks a reunion between Holmes and her former Dawson’s Creek boss, Eli Stone executive producer Greg Berlanti.
I don’t what role the erstwhile Joey Potter will be playing, but I do know this: I’ll be watching.

Update 1: The Kat half of TomKat will play a non-profit attorney, with really sassy hair, whose mysterious case leads her to lawyer/prophet Eli Stone (Jonny Lee Miller).
Update 2: ABC boss Stephen McPherson has revealed Holmes does some “singing and dancing” on the show.
