Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, alright!
Jennifer Lopez performed a tribute to the late Selena Quintanilla-Pérez – you know, the Queen of Tejano music that she earned a 1998 Golden Globe nomination for playing back during her acting days – last night, at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Miami. (Selena, you will remember, was shot down by the president of her fan club, Yolanda Saldívar, in Corpus Christi, Texas, 20 years ago.)
And, much like her tribute to Celia Cruz at the American Music Awards a couple of years ago, it was an on-fleek moment that people simply loved.
Making the whole thing even more poignant and perfect: La Lopez took to the stage joined by Los Dinos, Selena’s original band. Como La Flor herself.
