As you can see in this first-look pic, the Theory of Everything Academy Award winner has thrown himself into the production of The Danish Girl, the story of transsexual Danish painter Einar Wegener, of one the first men ever to undergo operations to become a woman – known as Lili Elbe – back in the 1930s.
Tom Hooper is directing the film, which co-stars Alicia Vikander, Amber Heard, and Matthias Schoenarts.
Betcha this one comes out by the end of the year, just in time for another awards-season dance for the actor.
