The Belgian Brando – soon to be seen in Suite Française – is set to join Eddie Redmayne in The Danish Girl, the Tom Hooper-directed story of transsexual Danish painter Einar Wegener, of one the first men ever to undergo operations to become a woman back in the 1930s.
Schoenaerts joins a cast that also includes Alicia Vikander and Amber Heard.
