As Amanda Waller

We already know that just because an actor plays a DC Comics character on TV it dont mean that he or she is going to play that character on the big screen. Which is why Grant Gustin will not be playing The Flash in the proposed 2018 movie based on the character (Ezra Miller is).

Now, we also know that several of the villains that already have appeared on The CWs Arrow also already have been recast for the in-the-works Suicide Squad that Fury director David Ayer is prepping – which is why Will Smith will be portraying Deadshot, for instance.

And now, it is official: Viola Davis (TV’s How to Get Away with Murder) will play Amanda Waller, the-anti-hero-esque director of A.R.G.U.S., or Advanced Research Group Uniting Super-Humans, the beyond-shadowy federal agency that essentially obligates supervillains to run high-risk ops for the government as the Suicide Squad.

The actress confirmed that she will be in Suicide Squad while promoting the upcoming Chris Hemsworth-led hacker thriller Blackhat, and that she is very much looking forward to “exploring her psychology.

So now you know who will be bossing around Smith and Jared Leto (he is on board as the Joker) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) et al.

Too bad for Cynthia Addai-Robinson, huh.
