Manchester-by-the-Sea Woman

Now that Michelle Williams is done with Broadway’s Cabaret she is free to venture into Manchester-by-the-Sea.

With an Affleck.

Indeed, Williams has signed on to play wife to Casey Affleck in Kenneth Lonergan’s upcoming new drama by that title (his follow-up to 2000’s Margaret).

Affleck will star as a ne’er-do-well plumber from Boston who must head back home to Manchester-by-the-Sea to care for his recently deceased brother’s 16-year-old son, and who comes undone under the weight of a tragic secret from his past.

Oy the drama...

Up next for Williams, though, is Suite Française.
