The Snowpiercer star is eyeing the starring role in Seacole, an upcoming period biopic about Mary Seacole, the pioneering Jamaican doctress who stood up to prejudice to play a key role in the Crimean War, even rivaling Florence Nightingale.
The project would reunite Spencer with one of her producers from The Help – so you know the material will do good by her and she definitely will do good by it.
In Secret’s Charlie Stratton is set to direct.
