The Hours star reportedly is in serious talks to play Grace Kelly in a new indie titled Grace of Monaco, which will be directed by Oliver Dahan (La Vie en Rose).
The project – which is being described as sort of The King’s Speech-like – is said to focus on a six-month period in 1962 when the city-state got into a headed dispute with France, which had had it with the principality and its tax-haven ways, and, in particular, on Kelly’s efforts to prevent a coup.
Well, if anyone can play graceful that’s obviously Kidman, who’s looking a bit less stiff these days (thank goodness) and about ready for another great chapter in her acting story, IMHO.
