Well, not really, but kinda.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly are both eyeing roles in Ridley Scott’s The Counselor, a film based on an original script by Cormac McCarthy about a lawyer who dabbles in some dealing of the drugs that just doesn’t end well.
And now, for the buried lead: Michael Fassbender is set to play the titular role.
But back to Brangelina.
There are not details about Pitt’s part in the project, and there are conflicting reports about Jolie’s involvement. Evidently, some folks think she’ll play the female lead, while others have her doing just a cameo.
Javier Bardem – who’s familiar with McCarthy’s work since he won an Oscar for playing the villain in No Country for Old Men – would go bad again and against (my) Fassbender.
Production is set to get underway this summer, so you best believe final decisions will be made soon.
