Antonio Banderas’s regreso has begun.

The Spanish actor will reteam with his star-maker, Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! director Pedro Almodóvar, for the film La Piel que Habito (The Skin I Live In), playing a plastic surgeon who takes revenge on the man who raped his daughter.

“The film will be a terror film, without screams or scares,” Almodóvar said. “It’s the harshest film I’ve ever written and [Antonio’s] character is brutal.”

I’m glad Banderas will be back on the big screen (where he used to smolder) after years of direct-to-DVD stuff and acting as the voice of Puss in Boots in the Shrek movies.
