The Hunter Becomes the Huntee

After a – for all intents and purposes – lighthearted detour Up in the Air, Academy Award nominee and all around Hollywood god George Clooney is getting his drama back on in Anton Corbijn’s upcoming The American.

The actor plays an assassin who wants out of the killin’ business who’s hired for one “last job” (famous last words!) in Italy.

The problem is he won’t be allowed to quit it quite so easily. Check out the trailer.

I wonder how this decidedly Euro-looking and -feeling movie will do when it opens on Sept. 1.
