Struck Goldfrapp

Let’s hear it for a return to form: Goldfrapp are back.

The English electronic duo led by Alison Goldfrapp (pictured at right), which broke out in my book with Supernature – you remember “Number 1”? – five years ago, took a little bit of a sonic detour with 2007’s Seventh Tree, which was just…mellow.

But now they’re back with their fifth album, called Head First, coming out on March 22.

The first single off the new CD is called “Rocket” – and I likey a lot. Another song that has leaked onto the WWW is “Believer,” which is rumored to be all about Alison Goldgrapp’s new (budding) lesbian relationship – and I likey a lot, too.
