Hedwig Returns!

Golden Globe nominee John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask are readying a Great White Way production of their Hedwig and the Angry Inch – the cult classic about a transgender rock singer from East Berlin.

The award-winning show originally ran off-Broadway in 1998 and was later adapted into a movie of the same name, starring Mitchell and Michael Pitt.

I’m tickled by this because that’s one of my favorite movies (I tell you, the 2001 oeuvre was outstanding).

Hedwig is set to return to the New York stage sometime this fall.

Big Apple, here I come!
