Whedonverse darling Summer Glau is what I like to call an Ephemeral: She’s a cult TV show actress, but none of the projects she’s been a part of, like Firefly or Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, have gone beyond two seasons.Glau is a tough cookie, though, and if at first (or second or third or whatever) she doesn’t succeed, she will try again.
The actress has signed on to be a part of NBC’s new superhero series The Cape, which follows a framed former cop (David Lyons) who turns to vigilantism, fighting bad guys as the titular masked hero.
Glau will play an investigative blogger who also fights crime and corruption from behind a mask.
