Making It a Grant Show

Melrose Place‘s Grant Show, a.k.a. Jake Hanson, will guest star in an episode of ABC’s Private Practice scheduled to air early this fall.

Show, who currently can be seen in the ratings-challenged Swingtown on CBS, will play a charming and flirtatious doctor with ties to a Private Practice regular.

I think this is just so swell.

First Marcia Cross and Doug Savant moved into Desperate Housewives’ Wisteria Lane, and then Show got his freak on and rocked a groovy mustache on a buzzed-about show about swingers and was cast in one of TV’s most-watched dramas.

You know what this means, right?

The resurgence of the Melrose Place alumni is imminent.

All we need now is for Heather Locklear to get well soon and for Laura Leighton to snag a juicy part, and we’ll be that much closer to renewed interest in the soapy greatness that was Melrose Place, which needs to be remade pronto.

It can be Melrose Mania all over again. Thomas Calabro, call your agent.
