Arriving on Boxing Day – that’s Dec. 26 – will be Tom Cruise’s much-maligned Valkyrie, bumped back to 2008 from a February ’09 release.
The Bryan Singer-directed project, about a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler during the height of WWII, was supposed to come out this summer, if memory serves, then this fall.
A plum holiday, awards-season-friendly slot means Valkyrie musn’t be so bad, after all.
The movie co-stars Kenneth Branagh, Tom Wilkinson, Terence Stamp, Thomas Kretschmann (Wanted – I’ll say), and Eddie Izzard.
