They’ve all recently played pugilists (or they’re about to, in the case of the latter two), but they better make some room now, for here comes Miles Teller.
The Whiplash star has Bleed for This coming this fall, just in time for awards season. Bleed for This is the story of Vinny “The Pazmanian Devil” Pazienza, a young and cocky five-time world boxing champ who in 1991, at the height of his career, got into a devastating car accident that left him with nothing but prospects grim.
He got knocked down like never before – but like always, he got up again (the kid had a surprising knack for always dusting himself off and trying again). Aaron Eckhart is featured in the film, as Kevin Rooney, the renowned trainer who helped Vinny mount the odds-defying comeback of a lifetime, while Ciarán Hinds (HBO’s Game of Thrones) and Katey Sagal co-star, as Vinny’s worrying parents.
Bleed for This is scheduled to open, in limited release, on Nov. 4 before expanding a couple of weeks later. Check out the film’s first trailer now.
