Good Wife Julianna Margulies is leaving TV behind for a while and turning to Christ(s), but not necessarily to a life worship.
The Emmy-winning actress has signed on to co-star opposite Richard Gere in Three Christs, a new indie based on Milton Rokeach’s The Three Christs of Ypsilanti.
Gere will topline the 1959-set project, as a charismatic psychiatrist who, together with a young assistant, uses new and controversial methods to treat three schizophrenic patients (all of whom claiming to be Jesus). Margulies will play his former research assistant and secretary-turned-slightly resentful wife (she’s raising their daughters while he works, and his assistant’s a PYT).
Peter Dinklage, Walton Goggins (HBO’s Vice Principals), and Bradley Whitford (Amazon’s Transparent) are also on board.
I wonder who will play the comely young assistant....
