The multi-hyphenate is set to follow-up HBO’s upcoming Looking: The Movie (and HBO’s Looking, and the celebrated 45 Years) with the passion-project Lean on Pete, a tale of lost Americana adapted from the Willy Vlautin novel.
Buscemi will play a man prone to crankiness named Del in the story of Charley, a 15-year-old who embarks on an adversity-filled journey to look for his long-lost aunt and a possible new home, with only a stolen racehorse curiously monikered Lean on Pete to keep him company (Del – whom Charley befriended – owns the horse, so...awkward).
I think Imma read this one.
