The Emmys are airing on Fox this year, which is why Fox has called upon one of its own to host.

And that star is...Adam Samberg, the Golden Globe-winning lead of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

“Buckle your seat belts, Emmy [Awards] viewers!” said the actor when the news of his gig broke today, readying us for a wild ride...and reminding us that that, in fact, is a good thing to do in general.

The Emmys are scheduled for Sept. 20.
