We all know that Jessica Chastain’s one versatile chick.
She already has played a Southern Belle from the wrong side of the tracks and a woman on the hunt for a mass-murdering terrorist (not to mention the requisite detective and the beyond-requisite scream queen and simply put so much more), but now...now she’s gonna play that most complex beast of ’em all.
The gossip-mag editor-in-chief.
Chastain is talking to buzzy director Xavier Dolan (Mommy) about starring in his first English-language film, The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, which will center on the secret pen friendship between an American movie star and an 11-year-old Londoner.
The actress, btw, is also circling one of the female leads in Ridley Scott’s The Martian, the story of an astronaut in Mars struggling to stay alive.
When they put together next year’s dictionary, they ought to put a picture of Chastain next to the word “Busy.”
’Cause that’s precisely how gf likes to be, don’t you know, don’t you know.
