The Dress Re-elected

Barack Obama staying in the White House means one other important thing: Michelle Obama is staying put, too.

Last night, the first lady made a statement all her own when she joined the president on stage after he accepted victory in Chicago.

The first lady did it through fashion, though.

Yeah, MObama dazzled in her brief moment in the spotlight – as she would – because just as the American people (well, some of ya) had re-elected her husband, she re-elected an old dress from her fawesome closet for the occasion: a magenta silk chine Michael Kors frock, a last-minute” choice she first wore back in 2010.

Another report says she actually wore first in 2009. Who cares. The point is the move was very her.

Sensible.

And exactly the kind of embodiment of the thought behind the woman, and one of the reasons, as the POTUS said as he expressed his admiration and love for his wife, we the people have fallen hard for her, too.
