That Abraham Lincoln project with Diane Kruger as Honest Abe’s grandma stepmother has found its pater familias.

Jason Clarke (Lawless) is set to play Tom Lincoln, the would-be-16th president’s father in The Green Blade Rises, a new film that AJ Edwards, a protégé of Terrence Malick, is directing. (Malick is producing.)

Keep an eye on Clarke – this Aussie is on the rise (he also has Zero Dark Thirty, chronicling the hunt for Osama bin Laden, coming out this fall, as well as The Great Gatsby next summer).
